If you have one panic attack, it doesn't necessarily mean you will have another, however it's still important to understand the underlying reason that caused you to have a panic attack. It's possible it's just a one-time thing (especially if you just experienced a traumatic event - or the death of someone close) but if it just seems to stem from general anxiety then you should definitely see someone about it!

Panic attacks are nothing to really worry about but if you do start fearing a panic attack so much that your raising anxiety triggers a panic attack then you have something we call FoF (Fear of Fear). Basically you have a panic attack in fear of having a panic attack. I would look at all the mindulness and anxiety resources on our site to adapt some very effective countermeasures to anxiety.

As long as you are aware of your situation, the chances of another panic attack are very low. You just need to stay in control of yourself and your thoughts, and with the right guidance this is easy to do.

Most people experience a panic attack once, so it's not something you necessarily have to worry about. Although what can be "dangerous" is to be scared of having another one, which will then make you anxious and could cause another panic attack etc. Actually, that's what a panic disorder is. It's when the fear of having a panic attack triggers them and it goes on. But having one panic attack is not a big deal. Yes it feels awful but it doesn't have to stay that way. And even if you do get other panic attacks, it's also okay because you end up learning to manage them. You'll be alright.

Having a panic attack means that you're a very anxious person, so you very well might have another, but that doesn't mean you should count on it happening again

That depends a lot on the circumstances surrounding the panic attack! Sometimes panic attacks are isolated incidents brought on by the extreme stress of a situation, while other times they're caused by more pervasive disorders. If you've had a panic or anxiety attack, the best thing you can do is contact a mental health professional so that they can evaluate your risk level. If this option isn't available to you, though, community outreach and support is the next best thing! If you're worried about having another panic attack, there are several guides on how to manage anxiety and panic attacks in the moment, and on how to take care of yourself and calm down after one.
