Separation anxiety is more linked to being unable to be without a specific person or item. The panic attacks you're experiencing may be closer linked with the negative feelings of not having closure when a friendship ends, or when arguments happen.

There is a possibility of separation anxiety, however you should not take this as a definite yes and ask for medications or specific courses of therapy without first being properly diagnosed.

This could be indicative of separation anxiety. Being scared to lose a friend is normal, and having panic attacks is your fear magnifying, which creates panic attacks. To deal with this, you can wiggle your fingers, and count backward from a hundred by threes. This will help your panic attacks. Also having someone to distract you, is also good. Distractions are one of the best ways to stop a panic attack. Also, try talking about it with your friend. Maybe you argue a lot because of misunderstanding. Clearing the air is always good. Communication is key to any kind of relationship. Whether it's a friendship or a relationship.
