Assuming it IS just a panic attack, there's no reason to be afraid! Unless you have other severe health conditions (like a heart problem) you're totally fine!

I am not a doctor and am providing my opinion based on experience. Almost always, the symptoms of a panic attack are temporary and minor. However, it is always best to have regular checkups with your doctor, and to discuss any symptoms that you experience during a panic attack. Feeling like we could die during a panic attack is very common. If you have insurance, often times there is a benefit that allows you to speak to a nurse 24/7 for free by calling the number on the back of your insurance card. If there is ever a doubt, especially if you experience chest pain, confusion, or dizziness, contacting emergency services or a trusted friend or family member is best.
