I guess you have to consider that many people do want happiness, so it is there for those that choose it. Happiness is a choice, we all make choices, and those choices lead us either to a happy life, or a drama filled life, or a sad and lonely life. If you don't want to be happy then it is your choice not to be, but you could perhaps consider why you don't want to be happy? Maybe you feel you don't deserve it? Maybe it is the fear that if you do have happiness, it will just be taken away from you. So I would explore in therapy your reasons for why you don't want to be happy.

Well, happiness is an emotional response to an event that releases endorphins in your brain making you happy. Happiness causes you to live longer, happier (duh), and healthier. It’s hard being happy when you don’t really want to be, but it’s really good for you, and it’ll help you out in the long run.

Happiness is a universal feeling/concept that brings a general understanding of positivity. You might not be in the mood to be positive right now which is fine, but perhaps by letting this negative feeling pass, you'll be able to acquire a positive feeling to balance that negativity out.

There's no point of happiness. Happiness is a point itself. It's not a destination nor an emotion which is needed to be carried everywhere. It comes naturally and fades away naturally. It depends on you the way you see it and handle it.

Feelings don't easily compare to things. If you get what you want wouldn't that give you some happiness? We all define it differently. My guess is that you have decided you don't want someone else's definition of happiness, which is perfectly reasonable.

It’s a proven fact that happiness is what makes life beautiful and makes it a whole new experience if you don’t want it keep it in your pocket it might come in handy later in long run besides if your not happy it can make you feel fatigue or depressed to a point where you hate every morning and despise every night and the gut wrenching feeling of loneliness that makes someone want to stay in bed and just be invisible to others to a point of social anxiety and hatred of the public eye as they feel they do not fit in.

Do you mean to ask, "What is the point of pursuing happiness if I don't want to be happy?" That is a valid question. You may not want to experience happiness, but it's important to ask yourself what you do want to experience instead. Are you interested in helpful thoughts and emotions? Or do you only want to experience unhelpful thoughts and emotions? Do you have goals you want to achieve in your life? And if you have goals, what kinds of thoughts and emotions will help you achieve those goals? For example, if you are stuck in depression, will that prevent your from completing a project that is important to you, or from attaining success at work? If unhelpful emotions block you from living the way you want to live in your life, then it is still worth it to work on yourself to grow and expand. There are different shades of what can be interpreted as happiness. Try and define what you mean by "not wanting happiness." And if you do that, you'll better understand the point of it.

I remember a time when I was going thorugh a difficult patch, I was asked was I happy. I didn;t feel happy but at the same time I didn't feel unhappy. You don't have to feel happy all the time, I don't believe everyone does, but you do deserve to no feel unhappy or sad all the time. Maybe find a way to just be with yourself, no pressure to be or feel anything. At the end of the say it is your choice how you want to be in your life . Look after yourself and stay safe.
