With so many negative or distracting thoughts, triggering your mind to feel depressed/lazy/angry, getting work done can be tough. What you need to do is take an A4 sized sheet and write down all the things on your mind with colourful markers. Once thats done. Put it away. Take another A4 sheet and write down your goal: "Finish Homework" this way youre setting your priorites straight and its engaging. Stick that up infront of you, so everytime you feel like getting up, you can have a glance at your goal. Next, put on some soothing classical music. Then make a checklist, break down your homework into parts and allocate 30 minutes for each. Sit down for 30 minutes and do the task. Then take a break for 10 minutes and get back. Repeat. Keep checking tasks off the list and tell yourself every five minutes, "I can do this!" because in the end, you need to get that homework done, and only you can do it. Sometimes we need to keep aside, useless, negative thoughts, and get some homework done. Just think about it this way. If not now, you'll have to do it later. So try getting it done asap so you're free later to sort out your other worries. Hope this helps! :)

In the past I have found that breaking up my tasks into smaller, more manageable chunks helps me get through it. It also helps cut up the amount of time I am overwhelmed by powerful, distracting emotions, which helps me better deal with them.

Just keep your mind at ease and think about what really needs to be accomplished. It's very hard to push thoughts out of your mind but if you really push yourself to getting things done then you may even forget about those emotions. Hard work pays off, remember that.

This is about finding a balance. Homework and other tasks are obligations. I'd say if you are feeling sad or euphoric, you should do something distracting from that feeling, like relaxing, taking a bath, walking your dog, talking to someone until you reach a neutral level, and then do your homework. Don't let this neutralizing activities keep you from completing your tasks!!

Personally, pushing things to the side can make things worse for myself so I often like to be aware of my feelings when I feel them. Internalize the emotion, understand where it is coming from, and address it the best you can in that moment. In order to push through and get some work done, try being mindful of the emotion but do not let it distract you from the task at hand.

Its not always easy. But sometimes you just have to focus on whats important. Prioritize your time. Incorporate help if and where needed. Perhaps even something like visualization or meditating beforehand can help.

close your eyes, breath slowly and relax, maybe listen to music or just sit with your eyes closed.

Have you thought of taking a moment to write your feelings down and what is making you feel like this on a list. Then you know these things are there and not forgotten but can be put aside for a short time?
