It is hard to understand our personal feelings and even harder to form words when our understanding fails us. I find that if you cannot express your feelings through words, use another medium to do it such as drawing or poetry.

You can draw what you feel inside. Draw it on a paper, and then when you're done, scrap the paper and throw it away. I do that !

When I have feelings I can't find words to express, I find it useful to immerse myself in an activity like photography or theatre or creative writing. Sometimes a drive is all it takes to give me some clarity. Creative arts like the ones I have mentioned above provide the space for much needed perspective to evolve. In the random act of clicking pictures, I have found my answers. I find that when I turn to creativity my mind is stilled and I am calmer and happier and the answers that I have been seeking are within my grasp.

If you can't find the words to describe the feelings, then there are many other different outlets that you can try. Some people have found solace in listening to songs that are closest to how they feelor are even the opposite of what they are feeling. Others find expression in art and even dance! It really is just a matter of finding that one thing that will make you feel understood.

One way to deal with feelings that I can't find words for is to deal with them on an energy level. Emotions are like energies of different types. They are not easily moved by words, but they can be moved with a change of energy. One way to get into a new energy is start moving. Walking, doing cleaning, exercising, doing yoga, and many more activities get the energy flowing and the endorphins to our brain to help feel better. It just takes deciding to start moving.
