Hi stranger! With everything in life, I understand it could be extremely demotivating to not see immediate results. A quote that always helped me push forward is "you don't set out expecting to build a house everyday - you set out to lay each brick as perfectly as you can, and eventually you'll have the house worth being proud of." Hope this helps!

Hello, I love this question because I could relate a lot to it. My name is Nick, basically I have been obese every since I was in the 5th grade. It got so bad to the point I was 274 pounds at 5'11. I thought I had lost hope. I was a lacrosse player but didn't lose any weight because I am a goalie and goalies don't have to run that much. I am now 201 pounds. How? I had the proper support from my family and friends to pull through the diet. I came to notice that if you have support from other people that's not yourself, you'll begin to see results and your morale will increase greatly. Let me know if you'd like to speak more about it. :)

The way I stay motivated is by remembering what I am working towards and remember that I wouldnt want to be in the same spot next year.

Start thinking about the resourcefulness like your own creativity, your past single(however small) accomplishments, your kind gesture, how you smiled or laughed without a reason, how you celebrated your birthday, your rewards and hugs. All these little reminisces will charge you again with full focus and complete awareness of yourself and the work or result for which you are trying. Also, analyze and know where you are making mistakes, whether consciously or unconsciously, and then plan and try to correct for the same next time.

I just have a hope to keep going and hope is very crucial. Without hope people can't do anything. With hope we are almighty.

See the amount of efforts that you put in. It's easy to see and believe in the apparent fact as obvious occurrence. Therefore, in order to stay motivated, staying focused is a better alternative than staying with constant self-damnation.

Know that everything have a process , and usually beautifull results take too long to happen , if it makes you feel any better here is an example in life : GOD could have made a baby in a moment, but He designed it to take 9 months. A seed could have become a massive Oak in a day, but He designed it to take hundreds of years. All things take time. And to all things is a process you cannot speed up. Therefore, success is dependent upon patience (Sayings by Yasmine mogahed )

Trying to stay motivated without seeing results is hard. Thinking about what’s happening inside your body and how it’s working can give you motivation. For example, not eating cake and eating fruit - the sugar isn’t beint build up in your body. The same with exercise, if you run a few miles a day, you might not see many results, but on the inside - your muscles are working hard. Just remember, everything has to be started in the inside and when it’s ready, it ends up showing results. Keep doing what you are doing and I’m sure that you will have more motivation than what you can deal with!

You just keep moving. One step at a time. No results now? So what? What results can you expect if you do not action?
On the other hand, are you taking the correct actions? Have you defined a realistic period of time for results to take place?
Personally, I use mantras: Things will be alright is one of my favourites. I look for quotes on the internet that alk about motivation and my personal situation. I talk with my support group.
When I do not see results, or the results I see are not the expected, I talk; with firends, family, support group. On difficult times, it has been impossible for me to motivate myself just by my own: I have had to turn into sprituality or "nice ears", keeping the pain for myself is the worst for motivation!!

Any ideas for exercises for people who HATE exercise? I don't enjoy physical activity of any sort. and I absolutely detest sweating, like almost to the level where its a phobia. What are some things I can do?
