I am sorry you are having to go through this convincing overprotective parents can be hard you can try telling them the benefits of exercising maybe tell them how it would help you stay healthy and active and help your immune system parents are overprotective because they want you to be safe at all costs and if you show them that it can help keep you safe and healthy it might help and again different things work out for different people so feel free to explore and see which way works for you I wish you all the best in life

Maybe suggest you bring one of them along as well to excersie with you. That can help build a stronger bond and may even have them give you a little more freedom as well.

As far as I know, safe exercise will do no harm for a healthy person. I would suggest talking to them in detail about what you will do in terms of exercise, where you will perform, for how long and things like that. The final step and maybe the most convincing for them would be to go see a doctor first. Maybe your family doctor. This could be benefical if something isn't quite right with your health and yoh can start to learn more about what you can do or can't. Other than that, they can tell you you're fine and let your parents know there's no reason to panic. Hope this helps:)

I don't know you or your situation and I can't give you any professional information, but I can give you my own suggestions. If you have some limittations that they feel like might make you more prone to getting hurt, you could show them that you have chosen types of exercise which will keep you safe. You could also work out with a friend or a personal trainer. This would not only make them feel better, but is also a really good way to learn new things and make sure that you are being safe. If you are recovering from an eating disorder please make sure that you are checking in with a therapist, doctor, or registered dietician to make sure that your weight is staying at a healthy level and that you are not overdoing it. Exercise, in moderation, is a really great thing for our physical and mental health and I wish you the best of luck in speaking with your parents.

Tell them that you don’t want to eat less, you just want to have fun. Exercise shouldn’t only be about losing a few pounds, it should be about enjoying yourself and loving your body.

Read books, or bring them books about the benefits of exercising. Convincing them while having a strong reference will make them believe it is a normal thing to do.
