The same way you did before. It's like your second chance. The more important question is, are you willing to get that back?

Not everyone is the same. Everyone is different . You have to do what is best for you. Try speaking with a counselor or therapist who can help.

I get that back by finding what I enjoy doing, by choosing things that are meaninflgful and valuable to me. I will overcome by setting own goals and standards

When you’re down, you’ll more easily remember the bad instead of the good. And oftentimes, the “rah-rah†pep talk just doesn’t cut it.
So, I suggest writing a list. Grab a piece of paper or a small notebook, or open a blank document. Now write down your successes, big or small.
If you’re a bit bashful about your achievements, ask someone you trust to tell you the great things they think you’ve done. It’s refreshing and a great confidence boost.
And finally, keep your list with you at all times. It will help you find your way back to yourself whenever you get lost.

Before I go into anything, I'm so sorry that you had to experience the trauma you went through and am wishing the best for you and your future. And I totally get how you feel, it's hard to really trust yourself after going through trauma and mistakes. But remember that your life isn't one hundred percent drama and mistakes. The best way to gain that belief in yourself is to be patient and let yourself recover gradually. Remind yourself of the times you've been responsible, trustworthy, and proud of yourself, and use those experiences to push past the negative thoughts. And when you are comfortable, reflect on those traumatic experiences and mistakes and take what you can learn from them.
