Sometimes when our lives are going great environmentally, we can still feel sad on the inside for different reasons. It could be anything from private issues to an imbalance in chemicals in the brain.

Sometimes life is really great but we still struggle to feel it and engage in the goodness, you are not alone there. The thing with depression is it demands to be felt, it tries to wear you out and bring you down even in the greatest of circumstances; it is what you decide to do despite feeling sad, or tired or lacking the energy to do anything. For example if you are having a bad day and don't want to go do something decide that you are not going to let depression hold you back, show depression that you are greater and stronger and that it is never going to consume you, that you will always come out on top and I promise you, you will be stronger after the fight; when life pushes you down and you fight against it, you are strong because you have defied what people believe, you have done what others have failed to do. I want to finish with a quote that has inspired me and I hope it inspires you too: "You will be happy, said life but first I will make you strong." Life is tough but you are tougher!

Depression is ruthless to anyone. It can happen to us at any time, and it's not always situational things that cause depression. Sometimes it's chemical imbalances that are off that can cause depression on its own.

Depression doesn't always make sense which is the toughest part. Think of Robin Williams, he was loved by many, had plenty of money, and was very successful in life. Yet he was still suffering enough that he took his own life.

Depression doesn't go away with a magic wand. Sometimes things can go really well in our lives, but there might be something missing, even if it's something like low self esteem, or being lonely.

Because depression is an ILLNESS like any other. It's impossible to get rid of it without a cure, people must take care of it like they take care of any other illness.
