I always think that everything I do is wrong cause I am a perfectionist, meaning I have high standards that mostly turn out to be hardly achievable. Also, probably cause I depend too much on the approval of all who are involved in my activities. Another important thing is a too critical parent in the childhood, who was mostly more interested in deconstructive feedback and less on constructive support and patience.

You may feel this way if you don't have any good support system. If you have no one that ever compliments you for the things you do or encouragement from your family & friends.

I had to answer this, I the exact same way. I was only inches away from my arm when I had the knife and decided I wouldn't do it. I have one thing to say. Don't give up. No matter what. It was hard for me to choose life but for a persons with low self asteem I do know I'm better than this. Writing this letter seems perminant. Now I won't do anything drastic. But remember that we all go through things, and you're better than this. Now we both need to calm down and begin living life the way were suppose to.
PS. eat chocolate, it helps.

Sometimes we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to always know the right answer or right choices, and when we struggle we think we are doing something wrong. The ironic part; sometimes the things we view as "wrong" are actually "right" in the long run. We all make mistakes, but if we didn't, how would we learn?

It's a confidence thing. I am like that as well. I do not completely understand why, but I will give it a go. So basically, the more you do one thing the more you are confident in it. The vice versa applies as well. What does that mean? If you rarely spell difficult words, and someone says a word you spelled is wrong, you will immediately doubt yourself. The key is to catch these moments and practice with repetition to increase your confidence.

Because we as humans love to criticize our every thought and decision. And lack of self confidence I'm sure is a key issue. I've been there FOR SURE. It's easy to feel wrong in all that you do. It's hard to stand by your decisions when you feel like you're wrong. But you know what? As long as you aren't hurting anyone or yourself, you aren't wrong. You're you. And you make the decisions you make for a reason. Don't second guess yourself, and if you feel like you've made a wrong decision, learn and move on and do the best you can next time. You're going to be wrong sometimes and that's ok. You're also going to be right a lot. But I'm sure not everything you do, is wrong ðŸ‘ðŸ»

The reason for that could possibly be that you've been told so many times that you mess up things and it gets stuck in your head even if you do something perfectly fine.

Sometimes when people have a low opinion of themselves, they find it hard to believe that they're capable of doing anything correctly. That could be it. It could also be related to stress: when I find myself having to do maths, I often get so stressed that I have to double check almost every sum I do because I've convinced myself I'm not doing it correctly! It could also be related to past experiences, perhaps you had/are having a really rough time at school, or maybe there has been someone in your life who has put you down at every opportunity- that person for me, for a while anyway, was my mom. We don't speak anymore, but for a while I still had her words ringing around my head. These are the answers I can give you from personal experience.

You 100% of the time think 100% of what you do is wrong? That does sound very difficult. When we have self-critical thoughts it can be a sign of self-esteem issues or depression or anxiety issues. Challenge these thoughts with more realistic versions and over time your thinking may change. For example, instead of "I always do everything wrong," think "That's not entirely true. Asking that question on 7cups wasn't wrong. Getting up this morning wasn't wrong. Having concern for myself wasn't wrong. I'm doing some things right. I also make mistakes, but I"m only human." Mathematical probabilities help me have hope; for example surely you must 1% of the time not be thinking you did everything wrong, or surely you must do at least 1% of things right? All-or-nothing thinking and comparative thinking is often hurtful to us and to the things we are comparing ourselves with. Have patience with yoruself as you change your thought habits and remember to love yourself because you deserve it.
