Many resources are available both online and in your local community. The easiest way to source these resources is by talking to your family doctor or healthcare professional. You can also try googling your city name plus "mobile crisis unit" or "counselling".

You can go to your GP and ask her/him to refer you to a therapist or Physiologist. If you think you have depression you should talk to someone who knows you well in addition to the previous. You will have the support needed.

I usually start with baby steps. I start small and get myself to do something as shower. That will then lead to getting something nice on and then doing my hair, so on and so forth. Then after I have stayed busy for a few hours and have calmed down, I journal and ask why am I feeling this way. Then I ask that again and again until I reach the main cause of my sadness and work on that issue.

As we all know that the most effective help to overcome depression is consulting a professional like a therapist but there are also some factors you might want to consider first before getting this help. First is your own reflection, most people deal with their depression by themselves without someone else knowing and they do it by meditating, distracting themselves or just keeping the worries to themselves and this is where the second part comes in, friends. If you can't handle the stress and pressure you would most likely approach a trusted friend and pour all your emotions out but the thing is, it is either the comfort of your friend is effective or you still feel the same. If you do feel the same, this is the time you approach your parents because they can assist you and help you get an appointment with a therapist, I'm happy that you are looking for some help because most people who has depression are too anxious to ask.
