The hardest thing about saying what's going on in your own mind is fear. To be scared that people would not understand you.

Not exactly sure, but drawing your feelings could help express yourself :) Keep doing that everyday or so, in a book, and over time on a journey of happiness you can see how far you've come :)

Because words cannot do your emotions justice. Your mind is a powerful, complex thing. And it's near to impossible to truly describe with words. You need to use actions and emotions along with your words. Learn to show as well as tell. And learn to tell more often - once you practice talking about your feelings, you begin to understand it better and you'll learn how to explain it better.

The complication of every emotion is far beyond imaginable. It's up to you to simplify it then slowly expand as you tell someone else. It makes it easier. For example start with: "I'm allergic to cats," then work up to, "I'm allergic to cats because of (blah-blah) medical condition."

Sometimes we're scared of how people will react to the things going on in our minds so even though we want to say what's on our minds we don't want to be judged. Then we overthink the whole situation and can't find the words we want to say to express what's on our minds.

Sometimes, we do not have total control over our own thought processes. So, to tell someone exactly what is going on, we need to know where to begin -- and we don't, especially when the mind races. It's sometimes too much going on at once, so it's all a big mess in the head. Secondly, we might also hold back from articulation because we might feel like the other person won't understand. Hence, it gets harder to put feelings into words if there's this apprehension that the other person might not get it at all.
