Abnormal behavior is described also as a behavioral pattern which causes someone pain. So no, it is not normal to scratch or to bite yourself. These kind of things are forms of self harming, which always need to be dealt. Furthermore, this forms can develop quickly to more aggressive forms.
We got here a good self -harm help guide: https://www.7cups.com/self-harm/
And if it does not help, you can always look for professional help, and we are always here to listen.

I dislike the word normal, how can normal be defined? The world is a rainbow of different people and we are all completely different, even if some seem the same. Is it normal for you to scratch and bite yourself? It seems like this falls into the self harm category so you might like to look at the self help guides, reach out to a listener or even talk to a therapist to get to the route cause.

This is a form of self harm as you are hurting yourself. It's semi-normal. Don't be ashamed, you are you and you just need to find yourself a better coping mechanism to this one. What do you think would help you better to manage your feelings? Out of frustration or anger sometimes as a coping mechanism we end up hurting ourselves/self harming, but just remember to take a deep breath and tell yourself it's going to be ok and you will eventually start to feel better and manage your feelings better as you set your negative feelings aside.

Sometimes we all get this feeling that we want to hurt ourselves or be a bit rough. But if itvgets out of hand then maybe... It's better that you get medical assistance in controling this urge.

This is a form of self harm, but you don't have to feel ashamed! Talking to people who are here to help can really help :) "Normal" is a term used to describe something that is most commonly done, and not everyone uses this method to help cope with what they are going through, everyone does cope in one way or another. It is normal to cope. I hope you stay safe! You can message me at any time :)

It is not 'normal' par say, but it is common. Those things are a form of self harm, a maladaptive coping mechanism that does more harm than good. It would probably be a good idea to reach out to someone on this site or in your community for help with this.

No, that is self mutilation and is self destructive. I think you should consider seeking out professional help through a therapist. Therapy can be very beneficial for people who self mutilate.

Scratching and biting yourself is a form of self harm, and self harm is a negative coping method for negative feelings. Replacing that negative coping method with a positive one might be difficult but would be very much work it!
