Depression is something you can get rid of over time, and here's how: lot's of hard work! Depression is a journey in which you learn more about yourself. It shows how strong you are, because depression is a war that each individual fights to win. I've been depressed for a long time. It comes and goes, and every time I feel it coming back I know I need to be willing to ask for help if I can't handle it on my own. You can beat depression and don't forget when you feel down there is always someone who loves you, who wants you to feel better than 100%, who will not give up on you

Yeah of course :) Depression is curable and is usually much easier than you think. A doctor may be able to provide medication to help you achieve this, or you can take a look at the depression support guides we have here to help you see different ways to potentially achieve this.

yes, you can . First of all it depends upon how bad your condition is . If it is normal then you can get rid of it by trying a little harder . Avoid staying alone and do things that you love to do . Stay engaged in your hobbies or hang out with your friends.
Another thing i heard is that eating bananas can help in a way .As bananas contain tryptophan, the same compound in turkey meat that promotes a calm, relaxed mood, bananas are also said to aid in relieving the symptoms of depression. Combined with the benefits of B vitamins, the conversion of tryptophan into serotonin, the so-called "happy hormone," helps improve mood and overall feelings of well-being.
"Keeping your B vitamin intake up could ward off depression as you age," explains Emily Main in a Rodale News article. "[W]hen you combine food sources of B vitamins with the added boost of supplements, the positive effects on depression are more pronounced."
And if it is more serious you need to consult a therapist or psychiatrist .
And remember one thing you're an important part of this world and you are amazing in your own way . Saty happy cause you deserve it.

Yes you can get rid of depression. You first need to understand what the trigger of the depression is and seek help by a professional if you cannot figure this out on your own.

Depression, like any other feeling, fades away. This takes time, but feelings do not last for ever. We need to express depression and be patient until it goes.

In my opinion, yes. Where there is a will, there is a way. Many people who have suffered depression have been convinced that there is no end to it. The mind is a very powerful thing, and in order to change that, you've got to believe in your heart that it IS possible to overcome it. Think of those bad days or bad times as downfalls. They're normal. Everyone makes mistakes once in awhile. If you make a mistake, earn from it. You want to keep moving forward. You are the boss of you. Try to help yourself because no doubt others are available to help you, but nothing will progress if the effort from yourself isn't there. Only you can change the way you think, so think positively! Don't dwell on the past. It is tough, but definitely achievable and absolutely worth it :)

Yes, it's not difficult and definitely not at all impossible. Pain, whatever be it- physical or mental has a lot to do with how we control our minds. Depression too, depends on how much we are willing to let go of our ddemented selves by controlling our thought procees as such. The other day, I read about this procedure called 'Repression' where we are asked to corner every thought linked with the reason of our depression and to keep it buried down until we have finally gathered courage to accept and fight truth. This I believe, will be of immense help to those who think they're not strong enough to fight depression. Above all, Prayers. Everything will be fine, in the end. its always been.

Keep in mind, depression is something that is triggered from an event in someone's past. It isn't like an infection, it's a part of your psyche. Getting "rid" of depression is hard, but you can most definitely tame your depression, so to speak. It's possible to make it so that your depression does not affect your life so harshly, but I don't believe you can completely wipe it from your mind. It will always be in your past, but it doesn't have to affect your every day activities. I hope that answers your question.

I went through depression. I understand it. I think one of the best quotes I've ever heard about depression said something along the lines of "depression is not just being overly sad when something goes wrong, it's being overly sad even when everything is going right." It is hard to get out of. It is a mindset that just seems to possess you with no ryhme or reason as to why it chose to attack you. But, honestly, I have found that the best way to get out of depression is socialization and outdoor activity. Being with other people can lift your spirits and the outdoors can help you clear your brain. If you enjoy working out, phsyical activity is also one of the best ways to beat depression. I hope that your depression comes to a close and you find a way to overcome it :)

I think depression is fickle. For some it can go away for days, weeks, months. Years. Sometimes forever. I think it depends on the person's mental state, and willingness to change. For some, it's easier than others. For many, depression is always on your shoulder, waiting to strike. It's a demon. But it's a defeatable demon. And you can push back. And though it might never go away, you can always fight back, and win.
