You don't have to stop thinking about them. You can accept the loss and move on, while making new friends. Your friends, past and present, are an important part of who you are. You should never forget the people that helped make you the beautiful person you are now!

You don't have to stop thinking about them. A move away from them can be very difficult. But try staying in touch. You can always call them, Or chat with them, text them, Skype them, Facebook them. There are so many ways today to stay in touch with somebody you love or miss. Just make the time for them and hopefully they will do the same and you can plan something together that will work for the both of you.

It will take time. It's not a quick process. The best way to deal with your loss it to accept that, no matter when you see them next, you still had the time you did together. They miss you as well. But try not to hang on too much. You have the opportunity for a fresh start. Don't waste it wishing you where back. Keep in touch with your old friends, and make new ones. You will be just fine!

I know and understand this feeling, but you'll never really forget about your old friends. They've found a place in your heart and they are there to stay, no matter what you say or do. The best thing you could do is find a new group of friends to keep your mind off of your old friends

It might be more productive for you to find a way to be able to miss your friends but accept they're not around, rather than not think of them at all. To do this, you could work on your anxiety and depression. It will give you a healthier stand point from which to remember them. Some good ways to do this are 1. the growth path...found here on 7 cups. it can help you to grow in your ability to handle your emotions and accept your reality. 2. You might like to try something like 5 minute guided meditations....which can be found by searching on YouTube....these can be great to deal with both anxiety and depression. They can also help you to set your mood for the day or the moment. 3. There are apps like Insight Timer ...which offer numerous breathing exercises and meditations... again very good for your mood. 4. Any mindful activities are amazing for keeping you relaxed and on an even keel. My favorite to do is making art, as it is so fulfilling for me and totally lifts my spirits. However, mindful activities are anything that takes the time to focus on something and truly immerse yourself in that activity. By concentrating on the details of what you are doing, you sink into a zen like state and create a better foundation for dealing with everything else..........While you probably can not stop thinking of your friends after they move, you can alter the way you think of them. Gratitude for the time you've spent with them is also a way to change your thinking. Some people like to keep gratitude journals to record what they are grateful for. Writing is very therapeutic and you might even decide to write letters to your friends. They may have moved, but that does not mean that you must forget them.

The best way I would say to do this is to make new friends. Making new friends will in affect, over time, limit the time you spend thinking about your old friends. However, it is completely normal to miss old friends and think about them time to time, it's when it becomes excessive there may be an underlying issue.
