My dear, You don't wanna do that .... You go get out on the street and you'll make even more friends that are 25% more truthful to you than on the net ....

Mostly just see what they're interested in. This is easy on sites like tumblr, and send them a message saying 'hi, wanna talk?' Most of my friendships have started because I wanted to help other people so I would say 'hey is something on your mind you want to talk about?' And I would go from there! Just go for it!

First, remember that your should be careful about who you befriend, because the internet is full of trolls. Second, social media is the perfect way to find friends, because they always comment on posts you make, and there are ways to talk to them, like texting.

There are many different ways! It depends on a little bit of luck too, so don't give up if you can't succeed the first times.
There are many chat sites out there. You can try out those. You'll find lots of different kinds of people there. Just be cautious and it should be fine.
Then there is social media. Tumblr, Instagram for example. As you use such sites you can find interesting people and perhaps contact them. There are also apps such as Vent, where it is really easy to make friends.
Think of what you like and maybe even find out about new hobbies. You can meet people while you play games online, at sites where you upload your art, at forums, etc.
I know, it sounds easy but making friends isn't actually that easy! Just try to be nice, tolerant and confident. If someone doesn't seem interested or they act cold a few times, don't give up. Maybe they are just having a hard time at that moment. Of course if this person always acts that way you should probably stop, but this doesn't necessarily mean it's your fault. Maybe you two simply don't click, they are rude, or something else.
Anyway, good luck :)

Get involved in the community here, everybody is super friendly and cordial. I'd prefer not making use of any other website to make friends as the credibility value is completely off, and it is precisely unsafe to do so! I hope this helps, be safe!

Be honest. Don't try to hide who you are, or change your personality to fit what is popular. Accept yourself, and others naturally will.

I think being yourself and trying to put yourself out there works most of the time. (not all of the time)
