Making mistakes is a natural part of the learning process. Imagine learning to play a piano. Mistakes are necessary. So, if you make a mistake: sit down, take some time, and treat yourself as you would a friend who had made the same mistake. We are far more forgiving of others than we are of ourselves.

Try to think of mistakes as great learning opportunities. Feel the joy of figuring out the correct way to solve a problem. Think about making mistakes as a side effect of being human, about being the beautifully imperfect creatures we all are. Think about what you didn't make a mistake on, this will make you feel more encouraged. Tell yourself, "If I did that, I can do this too. Thanks to this mistake, I now have the opportunity to learn something new!"

Making mistakes is human; everyone is prone to them! But realizing that there is such thing as a second chance really helps. Taking that leap to attempt whatever it is you're going for can be a real confidence boost, too, which may help reduce that feeling of discouragement.

The most important thing about making mistakes, is learning from them. It's ok to feel bad after making a mistake, but it's important not to dwell on it. Just think to yourself "what can I learn from this?" "what can I do to prevent myself from making the same mistake?".

Just accept that from every mistake, you can learn. Failure is just a stepping stone to success. It does not matter how big the mistake is or how others would have done it. All you have to know, is that it was your mistake, not someone else's, and you can best learn from it. You can also teach others what you have learned.

It sounds so cliche but the biggest thing to do is learn from them. Make sure to get up when you fall, lean on people for support if you need it and refuse to make the same mistakes.
