most of the time people wont know that you are depressed or not. So if you want to tell someone that you are depressed then talk to someone who really want to listen or someone whom you trust.

As someone who has experienced depression myself but has also been brought up around people who have experienced depression, this was a really personal thing to each individual. For me, It takes a long time for me to feel comfortable enough and confident enough with a person to be able to confide that sort of information to them, so if i did reach the point with people where I felt able to tell them, personally for me, it would be after a period of time where I would really be able to establish trust and confidentiality between myself and them

From experience, expressing to someone you are depressed is very important. Getting help isn't always fun to ask for, but it is worth it.

That's truly up to you! There is no pressure to tell others around you that you have depression unless you feel comfortable with it. If you don't want that person to know, it's ok. But if you want someone to know what you're going through and you feel comfortable enough to tell them, feel free! This is a personal choice. You don't NEED to do either one. You do whatever is most comfortable for you. If it would make you feel better to tell someone, then do! If it wouldn't, then don't! It's that simple. :)

If you feel like you should, then you should. All depression is considered a threat to yourself, physically and mentally. If you feel like your depression is getting out of hand, telling a friend, teacher, parent or even on here! Is a good idea, and therefore you should seek some medical advise.
