There is a big difference between a thought and a feeling. I like to think of it as a thought is from the head and a feeling is from the heart. You can think/know it may be irrational, but that doesn't mean your body doesn't think it is. I know that can be hard and confusing, but something is making your body feel the way that it does and it is completely rational to it!

Feelings are not always rationale. We need to work on ways to inject logic into our emotions so they will not control us.

The brain may cause one to over analyze and overthink a situation, and this may lead to irrational actions or thoughts. Irrationality may be due in part to emotions, which sometimes dictate the actions one will take. Overcoming the struggle of irrational thought patterns may be difficult, but is a joy in the long run. Breathing exercises and uplifting thinking may help boost your confidence. A lack of confidence in oneself may lead to feelings of insecurity, which can cause irrational thought patterns. Coming up with a plan to build confidence is imperative to begin the road to tackling irrational thinking. Maintaining a healthy balance of love and respect for oneself will help to become more at peace and confident.

Emotions aren't always logical. When you ask someone why they like someone, they can give you a long list of reasons, but it ultimately boils down to the fact that they like that person. It's not always possible to rationalise your emotions. Your feelings are there to expose something about yourself that you may not be aware of, such as an insecurity or an unresolved issue. Accepting what you're feeling and learning what that feeling is teaching you is a wonderful first step toward managing emotions. It's quite common. You have the ability to defeat it. Believe in yourself and your ability to do everything you set your mind to. It will get better.
