My boyfriend has anxiety attacks and when he does I don’t know what to do or what I can do to help him? He tells me to just stop talking. What can I do to help him? I don’t understand at all

When someone has Panic Attack you need to do whatever that person needs for their comfort. Ask him when he doesn't have it, how does he feels and what would feel best for him for you to do in this situations. For every person it works differently, some needs to be touched, someone needs to be alone, stay quiet or be given water or talking instead. Try to find ways to stay calm. If you will get frustrated or nervous you will make it harder for him. If u need more help. Type me. :)

Don't talk a lot coz that might make him feel worse. Let him relax, help him breath counting his breath or ask him to breath in n out slowly. If he needs space, give him. He'll be fine. Just try making him feel it's okay, coz I'm sure he might be feeling embarrassed about it.

People with anxiety sometimes just need to be left alone. You can't pressure them to open up to you because it will just make the situation worse. I believe you've answered your own question just stop talking and let him be make sure he knows you're there for him and leave it be.

Only he will know what works best for him. If he just needs silence, let him have it. If you want to do more, ask him afterwards if there is anything else you can do. But if he says there isn't anything else he needs, it very well might be that you are doing all you can, even when it doesn't feel like enough.

My boyfriend said the same thing to me, he doesn't like when I keep asking him what's wrong when he is feeling anxious. He told me just to hold his hands whenever he feels anxious. Coping techniques are different for different people. When they are not anxious, just ask them what helps during their anxiety attacks. Asking too many questions during an anxiety attack can trigger it more. I like to do some breathing or relaxation exercises when I feel anxious and I like when people who are closer to me being there for me when I am going through that, just the presence is more than sufficient for me.
