Your good emotions are the compass that let you know whether you are heading in the right direction. If you feel great after doing something, you did the right thing. Even if you feel uneasy but still something within tells you everything is okay, you did the right thing.

Only time will tell. You need to look at the big picture. How do you feel? How will you feel in a week? A month? A year?

You can tell by the way your heart feels. If you feel happy with your action, your mind can read it.

A weight will be lifted off of your shoulders, however, if you're hesitating and worrying and it's causing you suffering, then you may need to reconsider the decision you made. Hope that helps you.

Knowing if the decision we made was good or bad can be difficult. We don't always know at the moment. It takes time to find out. I think you'll know only in future if looking back you'll consider it as positive or no.

In all honestly, that is ultimately up to you. Think over it a bit. Consider what could have happened on the other side of actions/thoughts. Don't focus on the "negative" or "positive" result of the outcome. For example when a friend is upset, the best thing that you can do is try your best to help comfort them. It might have not made them feel extremely happy, but at least they know they have someone to fall back to if they ever need support or someone to listen to them.

If you are asking this question, you must care deeply about the situation in question as well as the people involved. whatever you did, was probably done with good intentions, but sometimes in life there is no ultimate right answer. Maybe there were unforeseen consequences, or maybe there was no "good" plausible outcome. We cannot know the future for certain, ever. Sometimes we have to accept that our choices can be opportunities to learn in life and grow as people.

I don't think there can ever be such thing as the right thing. Life is all about the grey areas, hardly any choice is black and white. If you feel like you've done the wrong thing, take it as life experience, talk to someone about it and if you feel like you've wronged someone, have an open honest discussion with them about it. You'll learn a lot more about yourself in the process too.

Your intuition.
Ask yourself that why are you doubting your choices.
If you did something right yiu can definitely feel that satisfaction and feeling of happiness deep inside your heart. Even if you're sad about the choice
