Talk to them up front and if you have any particular questions or suggestions, then be honest. Omitting important stuff is just as damning as the problem itself.

Being very clear about what is the problem and what you want. Just telling the truth and not forgetting to mention anything related to what you want.

Be straight forward and don't let them belittle your problems. If you have a health issue that you need resolved, tell them the issue and be persistent until they offer you some kind of solution. You have a right to health care.

One way to make sure you get all the answers/opinions is to write down your questions/concerns on paper in advance. That way you can be sure you won't forget to ask something during your appointment.

It can be helpful to think about what you want to say, and write it down ahead of time. This way, you can clearly express what you need. Remember, your doctor relies a lot on the information you give them, so the more you can tell them, the more they'll be able to help you. Don't be afraid to tell them exactly what you expect, or what you need.

Talk to your doctor about all the problems you're having. If they feel as though you need it, they will prescribe it to you. If they don't think you need it, they won't give it to you. And, if that happens, you need to respect their decision.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
