We can't really avoid anxiety. We can develop more effective ways to cope with our anxiety. "Navigate my way around" is kind of another way of saying avoid, which is not realistic. But we can cope and we do get better!

You can't navigate your way around any problems, like anxiety and depression, although it may be hard, you have to go through it. You can't go over, you can't go under, you can't go to the left, nor the right. But you can push right through it.

Knowing what your triggers are when it comes to your anxiety and learning how to prepare yourself when you are triggered can be one step to navigate around having anxiety or an anxiety attack. There are going to be days where you have to get through it, and there will be days you will defeat it. It's a work in progress.

I wish I could answer that... personally, I've had to go through it. It's especially hard when the teacher wants me to present a project in front of class, or going clothes shopping, or even buying your younger sister an ice cream cone from an ice cream truck. Just take a deep breath and get it over with. It's better to just get it over with, in my opinion.

Take deep breaths and think about why you are feeling anxious. Rationalize the situation and take baby steps to over come it.

A skill I learned in mathematics is trial and error. If you can't navigate your way around it then go through it. If you can't go through it , you must trick your mind into thinking it doesn't exist.

If you're not ready to face it, it's okay to be in denial for a while. But in order to overcome any obstacle, there's no way around. You have to face it on and eventually things will fall into place.

The Facebook "Seen" message gives me a lot of anxiety! When I see that the person has "seen" the message, but does not reply, I start thinking about all the possible reasons why they would 'ignore' me... Does anyone else feel this? If so, how do you cope?
