Yes, because you will worry about pretty much any meaningless thing and you will miss the happy things around you. Depression and anxiety are linked because anxiety will make you see only problems and stressful situations, and so depression will come, but that doesn't mean you will heal from both of them.

Anxiety can lead to depression if the anxiety is uncontrolled. Some amount of anxiety is good for us as it enables us to function at an optimum level. When anxiety threatens to affect our normal functions then it can lead to depression.

Yes, I believe so! Speaking from personal experience, anxiety keeps me from doing many things I want to do, which usually causes me to just stay home and shut myself in my room and not talk to people, etc. The feeling of depression often then starts coming back.

Yes, anxiety can cause you to feel depressed. You can feel down that you can't seem to shake off this burden that is holding you down (the anxiety). It sucks. But you can get through it.

It's been a recent revelation to me that my anxiety may be a cause of/closely linked to my depression. I just came to realize it made sense to me because of the sheer exhaustion anxiety causes with the constant drain of a worried mind. It saps your energy. I've started working more on treating my anxiety than depression. I'm now taking vitamin B8 aka inositol supplement, by vital nutrients, their high dose 4000mg/tap powder. A couple or few times a day, 8-12graMs a day. Its sweet and now i crave it time to time. I also switched my medicinal cannabis from a more 'functional energetic sativa dominant hybrid bc I was afraid of depressive effects of a heavier indica dominant strain- switched to that indica dominant hybrid. 60% 40% is my sweet spot. But lower thc and high cbd is really best but not as available so its not the easiest for me to transition to when i cant count on its availability. But for those wary of psychoactive effects, good on ya, i recommend high cbd products, some edibles dont require heating and are virtually not completely non psychoactuve. The switch so far has helped and is equally as functional bc it does a better job treating my anxiety, saving me energy. I also sleep better. Ive been able to reduce my dosing/usage. Sleeping and eating properly are the first to get out of whack when things are bad, and most important for me to manage to get better. I take sublingual melatonin to aid sleep. Also St. Johns Wort, which has been around for ages & is contra indicated with prescription SSRI's bc it has been studied to have measure able effects and a risk of seratonin overload can happen. I prefer the natural, of-the-earth route, so if St. Johns is powerful enough it shouldn't be combined with SSRIs it's probably good enough for me. I am better when I also have my supply of topical wild yam root cream for hormone balance, it's a plant based progesterone. Wild Indian Herbals or medicinals or something brand is what works for me. Black cohosh has been recommended to me too but I don't notice such a difference as I do with the wild yam root cream, which was surprisingly immediate and perceptible to me. Hope this helps anyone.
