Depending on the type of job, I’d look up “interview questions and answers†that way you can have an idea what the type of job you’re applying to is going to ask, have a good idea of what you will say, and have time to prepare how to make an answer that is personal to you while staying professional. You want to be truthful, genuine, and speak about your best qualities that can be taken used of on the job. When I started applying for sales jobs, I googles “questions and answers for sales interview†and that really helped me prepare. Before my interview, I read the questions and spoke an answer out loud. I did this until I was confident about what to say. One of the most important questions an interviewer will ask is “do you have any questions for me?†You never want to say “no†never say no!!! Instead, ask “when can I start?†Or “I read such and such on your website, can you tell me more about that?†This will show them you’re interested in this job position and are confident you will do well if given the job. If you answer in the first way I suggested, it’ll give you a better idea of when you can expect to hear back from them for a second interview, denial, or you may even get same week hire.
Study and prepare. Run a background research about the company and the position you will be applying for. Take down notes, get your resume ready, read articles that may help you, just be yourself and stay calm as possible. Employers more likely look at the applicants potention instead of what is written in the resume. It is normal to feel nervous but do not let it to consume you to avoid having mental block. Wear appropriate clothes, fix your hair, and look confident. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to interview, you just have to answer all the questions by your heart.
