Its all about management. Exercise and meditation helps a lot to cope with long work hours and manage yourself better.

Make a list of things to do to organize everything. Meditating regularly and keeping on track with work will lead to a healthy and happy life. :)

You ask the wrong method. It's not how to "stop work stress from..." It's stress, of course it would affect every aspect of your life. Instead, ask "how to not have work stress" If there is no work stress, then it won't harm your life. Please don't say work has to have stress. If the work is unapproriate for you , it causes you stress. If the work is approriate for you, it gives you joy.

Create barriers in your life. When you are at work focus only on work. At home focus only on you and your family. If you are on-call for work... try to only worry about that when you are actually called to work.

That can be difficult. Especially if you are in a high-stress job. Perhaps you have a department through your employer where you can talk to someone about your feelings. If don't, perhaps you could seek help through a healthcare provider, therapist or counselor.

My favorite go to is either crocheting, coloring, or meditating. Simply relaxing to music or a video game helps me as well.

It depends on the job you do. For me listening music was helpful. If you have a job which is physically exhausting you might prefer watching TV, for me watching TV is a good method to distract myself from stress, worries or sadness. I also like cooking, but only if you job isn´t too exhausting, otherwise sleeping is also a good option.

Always separate your work life from your personal life. This is most important as if you combine this two that's when life becomes messy.

Separate your work life and personal life. I also recommend meditation and other stress management methods. Keep a journal of what's bugging you. It also doesn't hurt to put your best effort in working so you have something to be proud of when you go home.

I'd tell myself to deal with things about work while I'm at work. I don't want my emotions related to work affect my love one or hurt their feelings without me noticing.
