Sometimes we don't switch off at night and our brains keep ticking away,Mary some relaxing music, turn your phone onto silent, try not to eat too late too as this can keep your body active when your trying to rest.

I have trouble sleeping every night due the amount of stress that piles up with school. School takes a lot if time and effort with studies and extracurriculars so it's really challenging for me to get enough sleep without overthinking or working on school stuff.

I have trouble sleeping every night because sometimes the anxiety will get too much, all the thoughts start building up, and speeding up and flooding my mind with irrational thinking. I've learnt to meditation and focused breathing sometimes helps! :)

This could be for a number of reasons. The best way to figure out why you're having trouble sleeping is to think about all the possible factors. Have you been stressed lately? Have you been working more? Have your eating habits changed? Something as simple as uncomfortable pajamas (or as complex as a neurological imbalance) may be to blame. Slightly altering your lifestyle may help improve sleeping habits, but if problems persist, get in touch with a health professional to figure out what's going on. I hope you are able to resolve this and you have a great day!

You might've already heard it, but it's true. Whenever you bring problems to your bed, you may happen to have trouble sleeping the night. Sleeping is a relaxing process and overthinking about your daily worries might hamper you sleep time. Eating too much, drinking too much, having too much things on mind - these don't help you when you must sleep. Focus on yourself and deeply think about it, be honest with you and ask yourself what do you "bring" alongside to your bedtime! Sweet dreams! :)

A lot of things like diet, stress, anxiety, and sleep conditions can prevent you from sleeping or harm the quality of your sleep.

There are many possible answers to this question. First, check out your diet- change things up and see if that is the cause (how much caffeine do you intake on a daily basis?). Next, check your stress level. Are you worrying about things as you slip into bed? Thirdly take some off-screen no-internet time at least two hours before planning to sleep. This helps the cells in the brain trigger "sleepiness".

Sometimes diet is a factor, the wrong foods can cause problems with sleep. Most often, something is on my mind. Even though I'm not worrying, and I don't ruminate, the issues that concern me remain present unconsciously.

You may have insomnia. How are you feeling throughout the day? If you feel fatigued it could be from a loss of sleep. But it could also be something deeper. You should see a doctor if it happens over an extended period of months.

My experience is that I have trouble sleeping when I am worried about something or feeling anxious. There can be other reasons too though. I think its important indeed to figure out why so that you can find a way to deal with the issue thats causing this. What has helped me is to learn about mindfulness and relaxation techniques. I also learned that working myself up about it makes it even harder to sleep so when I really cant I allow myself to get up for a bit or I read in bed.

My brain is too active and my thoughts are killing me. I overthink every single thing that happened in my life and can't stop thinking about it.

The biggest reason I have trouble sleeping at night is I have a lot of thoughts that keep circling around in my head. One of the best ways I have found to deal with it is to either write down my thoughts or text important themes to myself. It helps get it out of my head and allows me to sleep.

Well I had trouble sleeping simply because I had 1 trillion things going through my mind There can be many factors that play into truth both such as insomnia which I had or in which I have or just trying to answer questions that need answers the best way I try to fall asleep is just simply lying in bed and counting sheep It might not work for some people but counting sheep does put me to sleep the idea of thinking something so incredibly boring seems to ease the mind so maybe thinking of something incredibly boring or reading a really boring book might help you : everyone's different and try something that works for you, personally^^

There are many things that can trigger lack of sleep, from stress to poor nutrition. It may be helpful to keep a sleep journal to recognise what affects your sleep patterns
