What is the point of having so many emotions? Why do I have to feel them all?

Since we are dealing with different circumstances, different people, so we need better adjustment, and one of them by having so many emotions to let us understand things better, so we can socialize carefully.
The point of having emotions is because if we didn't have emotions how could we feel anything. Emotions can be happy or sad. If we didn't have emotions we wouldn't feel love or excitement.
