It's a question that nearly all LGBTQ people ask at some point in their life. That's because we may be treated worse than others. You have to know that you can't be happy not being true to yourself. If you're not straight that's the way you are and it doesn't make you any less human or beautiful.
the question isn't why cant you be straight, the question is why cant you accept yourself. you are beautiful and amazing and there is nothing to be ashamed off ;being another sexuality is completely normal. love is love. it might be easier for us to imagine a life without harassment from others with their limited views of sexuality but you are who you are. be proud of it because for all those who hate you, there will be those who support you. we are here for you, sending virtual hugs :)
Because somewhere down the line it was decided that you would be different. And because of your difference you will become stronger. You will learn to look at life in a completely new and interesting way that will allow you to connect with so many people. Life is going to be hard on you, but you have been given the chance to be stronger than the things that will be done to you. It won't be easy, but luckily, you're not ordinary.

Sexuality isn't a choice it's how you're born so there isn't really another option if you're born not straight that's just how you are. I think a lot of lgbti+ people struggle with feeling like this at some point in their lives and at times when things get complicated and difficult (especially around family problems that might arise as a result). It's important to take time to come to terms with your identity and who you are, once you accept and love yourself it's hard for others not to.
Because it's not that 'straightforward'. Seriously though, being not straight doesn't make you any worse of a person. You're not straight, and that's pretty kickass
It may be difficult but you're exactly who you were suppose to be. It's a part of you that you may eventually come to love.

Each and every person in this world is born and raised with a race, ethnicity, sex, gender, and sexual orientation that will differ with the majority.
Although you can't magically be straight, it doesn't mean whatever sexual orientation you identify with is less valid. You are you.

Everyone's not just straight. Most people are different. it's like preferring a chip flavor. Some may like Doritos, and some may like Lays. It's not something you can just... control.

Because being straight is no different from being gay, lesbian, bisexual etc. Accept you for being you. Don't let the stigma force you to hold back. Be true to yourself - this is how you can really be happy.
Because you are born this way, your orientation is something natural and innate. There's nothing wrong with it, and everything wrong with people who judge you because of it. Luckily, there are also inclusive people who will support you! You can be as happy as anyone else, if you allow yourself to follow your heart, live freely, and just do what makes you feel happy.
Because that's not who you are. You're not straight simply because you aren't, and that's okay. While it is easier to be heterosexual in society, that doesn't mean it's all you have to be. I completely understand the frustration, as i went through it too, but the sooner the come to terms with it the sooner you'll be happy. At least, happy in the sense that you won't be wishing you were straight because it's "easier". You are the way you are, and nothing can change it. Accepting yourself is the best thing you could do right now. We all love you for who you are, now it's time to love yourself💕
Because you are who you are, and by no means should that be something to be ashamed of. Almost all LGBTQ people ask themselves why they can't just be straight or cisgendered, but just because you aren't what society has deemed as "normal" doesn't make you any worse of a person.
Because your sexuality, like all your other aspects, defines who you are. It makes you unique; you should be proud of that.
That's just who you are. That can't be changed and there's nothing wrong with that. You are beautiful, no matter what sexuality you have.

Being gay should not be something to be ashamed of, it should not be something that we need to hide or feel bad about. gay is completely okay. i know that there are a lot of haters out there, and they make you feel bad about being gay. but there are also so many people out there to support you

Because being straight is borrrrring. No seriously, because your orientation isn't your choice! It's a bit more complicated than Lady Gaga likes to think (some people's orientations are more fluid than others, and there are probably many different factors that influence orientation, including prenatal environment) but it is definitely not something you can just decide on. But maybe your question was rhetorical?
Everyone is unique in their own way. If all of us were a like the world will be a boring place. So don't be ashamed of who u are rather know that u are unique in ur own way.
You are perfect just the way you are. Normal is an illusion what is normal for a spider, is a chaos for a fly.
It is who you are. Sometimes it might be tough, but eventually you'll find the right person who will make you understand everything

I know it can be hard to accept yourself, but some features you are just born with. It will take time, but eventually, you will come to a comfortable place with yourself. Try identifying why you would like to be straight, and work on that particular area of your life!

You can't just be straight because that's not who you are. You are a person who is special and unique in your own way. You are LGBTQ+.
Your heart and brain sometimes have plans that don't align with what you may want, but that doesn't mean that they are bad plans. Not being straight is something to be proud of, it makes you special. It makes you YOU.
Because sexuality is not a choice
why would i choose to be gay in a country where homosexuality is illegal ?
why would i put myself through all this fear and depression ?
why would i do that to myself if it were a choice ?
if it were a choice i wouldn't have chosen it - not that i hate my sexuality - it's just that life would have been easier in my society had i been straight

Being straight isn’t just an answer to problems, you should be proud to be LGBT even if the people around you don’t accept you, you can’t change who you are. Some people think that being straight will fix your problems if you’re LGBT but really it just hides them, you shouldn’t be ashamed of who you are. Some people like to put you down because of one thing but they really don’t know you well enough to judge you. If they’re judging you on one thing they shouldn’t be in your life. It’s okay to have trouble accepting yourself as well and many people go through the same things so don’t be afraid to reach out to someone.
