Legend says that if you dream of someone it means that they are thinking of you. It's scientifically proven, however, that if you think of a person while you are a sleep you are likely to dream about them. So I'm guessing you are thinking of him before bedtime leading you to dream about him (:
You have him on your mind, whether subconsciously, unconsciously, or consciously. You have strong feelings for him.
Dreams about people can usually mean you miss them, you have something to tell them, you feel guilty about the situation maybe, etc.
Some people say that it's because we sort out our thoughts in our dreams. In my experience, when something is connected with our emotions, it affects our subconscious more.
Basically, you care about him and it's influencing your brain. It's not unusual.

There are many, many reasons why you might be dreaming about someone in particular. What is your subconscious mind trying to tell you? The simplest reason could be that you simply fell asleep while thinking about this certain person. It’s only natural that you thought about them while you fell asleep, and they found their way inside of your sleep pattern. Another simple reason is that you’ve been thinking about this person a lot- maybe even more than you should be. They’ve been on your mind for quite some time throughout the day, so of course they’d be in your thoughts in your subconscious dreams as well.
You dream about him often because you’re fantasizing about him and what you wish you guys could be doing. You should tell him and let him know.

If you had lots of good times with him, those memories can be hard to let go of. Peple can make lasting impressions on us.
Often, we dream about people we care about on some level. Sometimes the person just stands for an emotion or an time in your life though subconsciously.
Maybe because you feel a strong connection to whoever this person. Maybe you subconsciously would like to become closer with them. Speak to them about it and let them know how you feel about them.
I have found when you have someone on your mind a lot, you dream of them. Especially when it is right before you go to sleep. If dreaming about this person bothers you, try distracting yourself while you are trying to fall asleep by reading a book, listening to some light music, or watching a movie until you fall asleep!

The reason you dream about him is because you continuously thinks about him. even you think about hims before falling asleep, he is on your mind, you care about him, you may have hidden feelings, he is the only thought on your mind.
Dreams are weird things. They don't generally mean very much, but they are a reflection of what our brains need to store about things we learned and thought about during our waking hours. The individual elements don't tie together in reality the way they do in dreams (ie. If you dream that your sister is a train, it says nothing about the way you see your sister, just that you are storing something about your sister and also storing something about trains). Patterns are what matters. So, if you are dreaming about someone a lot your brain is storing information about that person, or about things that it relates to that person.
It depends on what kind of dream it is. If it's a good dream then it usually means that you like him, and if it's a bad dream it usually means that you don't and that he frightens you in some way.
