Perfect therapy for people who need help. I would like to say, I never can imagine it could be possible to heal people like that

I find that forgetting them is a negative step to take. Remembering bad memories and learning and growing from them is a much more positive way to deal with them and it helps you to develop as an individual and to help avoid similar situations in the future. We wouldn't be the people we are today if it weren't for bad experiences.

Forgetting your past is almost impossible. The easiest way to move on from your traumatic past is to come to terms with it. Accept the bad memories. Accept that they happened. But also accept that they're over now. Focus on the good memories, or the goals you have for a brighter future.

The simplest of answers ? By creating the good ones now. How, You ask ? Depends on you a lot, you can try your hand on a hobby or interest you might have or something you wanted to do in past but could not. How this works is that it takes your mind of the bad memories as you said and also gives you good memories. Hope it helps. :)

By making new good memories, that's it. We all have past of bad and even good memories that at some part of our life needs to be forgotten so we can move on and focus on our present which is the way to our future. So just don't think about it that much, leave the past in the past, it's no use wasting our precious present remembering memories we can change nothing about, it would consume your energy. So, I think it's better to work on the present it's all in your hands and always remember it's never to late to start new

You can't forget about it but learn to move on from bad things, I have experience in this and moving on, takes time and first is distraction taking up something new, boxing at the gym I found very helpful, deals with many emotions. I can help listen to your fears and feelings and together we can come up with a plan to help distract your thoughts and focus your experiences and energy into something creative

Try to make new ones, good memories that you would like to think back on. However, it takes a very long time to forget about bad memories. I would suggest talking to a therapist, as they can talk you through it and I would imagine that they would have strategies for situations like that.

You simply can't.. But what you can do is to dail how bad these memories feel by truly see how a better person these experiences made you become no matter how small this improvement is compared to the pain you suffered, And experiencing new good memories that eventually would help you get over bad memories you had before.

One of the best things you can do to forget about past bad memories is to replace bad memories with good ones. If a specific place or object, etc. is associated with something bad, try to make new, better memories to associate with that object or place, etc.

Memories are not something that can easily go away but in my personal experience engaging in activities that you enjoy can be a fantastic way to create a more positive environment which can help you to learn to cope with the past.

You try, but that is depression, it isn't easy, try to take your mind off with music, or with another sort of things.

You can never totally forget anything. You should accept it. If you have done a mistake, accept it and tell yourself you won’t repeat this. If something really bad happened accept it, accept that it did happen and it happened for the best, made you stronger. Remember whatever happened, it was past and when we overthink a lot about it it starts to affect our present which is not good. Distract yourself a bit. Go out for a walk, listen to music, see things from a positive perspective and accept it then it won’t bother you

There is no way to get rid of memories entirely - the best way is to process your emotions and learn from your experiences. Hopefully, the sting will fade with time.

You can always pretend that they've never happened but if you can't do that you can always talk to someone because that helps most of the time.

You can't. But you can learn to live with them. Sometimes what doesn't kill you actually will make you stronger. You can't rush it, though, take your time.

you can forget bad memories only by creating new good memories and replacing the old ones. we can also accompany the people moving on the same track or have gone through the same situation so that we can feel motivated in the process.

More often than not people don't forget, we just learn to accept that this bad situation happened to us and it is part of our history but we survived and things do get better. Embracing our hardships is what makes us strong and helps us grow so rather than try to repress them perhaps you should focus on being proud of yourself for having the strength to overcome difficult times.
