When someone has depression, they experience persistent feelings of sadness and loss of interest. A lot of emotional and physical problems can result from it, including changes in how you feel, think, and behave. Sometimes you may feel like life isn't worth living, and you may have difficulty doing normal, everyday tasks.
Signs and Symptoms of Depression
Though it may be best to consult a medical professional on whether or not you may be struggling from depression, there are some signs that you can make note of in helping you get a proper diagnosis.
- Persistent feelings of sadness
- Loss of interst in daily activies that you once enjoyed doing
- Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much
- Changes in appetite or weight
- Fatigue
- Difficulty with thinking
- Increased irritability or frustration
