What are some things you need to reflect on?
# “The unexamined life is not worth living.”
It is a beautiful and deep thought to ponder but also not an easy one to practice.
We live in a fast-paced world and taking time to self-reflect seems like a lost skill. We have so busy lives that mostly we are surrounded by mobile phones, computers, huge packets of information, news updates, ever-changing environment, society, and world.
Have you ever considered trying self-reflection? Or do you wonder what are some things you need to reflect on?
# “Self-reflection is necessary to be the best version of yourself in life.”
Self-reflection is like looking yourself in the mirror and describing yourself how you look. It is a necessary part of your life now and then because it allows you to assess how things are going on in your life, are you feeling joyful and content with yourself or you want something else?
To put things in perspective, it gives you a chance to dive deeper into yourself to know and understand who you are and what makes you who you are.

# What happens when you don’t reflect
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over again but expecting different results.”
When you are not self-reflecting, you keep running on a treadmill without even knowing why you are running in the first place. But it leads to burnout, being overwhelmed, and stressed about everything. That’s why you need to PAUSE. Hop off the treadmill to identify what’s working and what not? And, if something is not working, then plan the changes to make it work.
# Self-reflection is an easy process. All you are required to ask yourself the right questions and give time to answer those questions.
Here are a few easy questions that you can ask yourself:
1. Am I taking care of myself?
2. Do I like spending time with myself alone?
3. Do I Treat Everyone With Respect and Kindness?
4. Do I Accept Everything as a Gift?
5. Am I living in the moment?
# Reflect on you
It includes who you are and what you want for your life. This is the most important self-reflection step in the process of self-reflection. From Aristotle to Socrates and Pythagoras stressed how knowing oneself is helpful to make things better for one’s life as well as people around you.
Here are some questions you can use to ‘ponder’ when you reflect on YOU:
1. What are my unique gifts, skills, strengths, or talents?
2. What are the weaknesses or blind spots I need to watch out for?
3. What am I focusing on?
4. What is one thing I want to create for this world?
5. One thing that makes me happy
6. Am I doing things based on my priority list?
7. What am I holding on to that I need to let go of?
8. Who has had the greatest impact on my life?
