Tips for a Restful Sleep
Sleep hygiene refers to all of your habits and mindful practices that help you sleep well. Here are some tips to maintain a restful sleep:
- Ensure your environment is comfortable - a quiet, comfortable environment with a good temperature helps you feel relaxed.
- Go to bed and try to wake up at the same times - although you will be resting or napping through the day depending on your fatigue levels, it is important to try to sleep at the same time regardless.
- Eat a balanced meal, especially for dinner.
- Limit your screen usage a few hours before your bed time. Use this time to practice gratitude or journal. You can also reflect on how the day went with your caregiver.
- Inform your doctor if you notice changes in your sleeping patterns or notice new symptoms during the night.
