Third Exercise - Shapes

Shapes! Which shapes feel familiar to you? Is a triangle more comfortable than a hexagon? Maybe you're more into an octagon or a rectangle. This is your opportunity to explore what shape makes sense to you.

Now for the third exercise! Draw rectangles, squares, triangles, and any other geometric shapes you can think of. You can even try to make them three-dimensional! Make shapes of all sizes, stack them or leave them in their own space. Like before, turn the paper, combine shapes and directions. Try closing your eyes, drawing in different directions, and even switch hands. Check-in with yourself about how you are holding your pen… is your grip really tight? What happens when you loosen it up a bit? If you have multiple pens/pencils/markers, switch to a different one. Does are certain shapes speak to you more than another one? What story does it have to tell? Pause and see if you notice any differences.
