Anxiety is not just feeling nervous or stressed about things, it is experienced individually by everyone. Here are some other ways that anxiety can be experienced:

  • Feeling unable or too afraid to speak up.
  • Feeling worried about the word choices you use when interacting with people.
  • Thinking everyone can see inside your head. 
  • Not wanting to come off as stupid.
  • Resenting yourself for not meeting other people's standards.
  • Believing everyone was silently judging you.
  • Feeling like you have to overachieve and be the best to be intelligent.
  • Criticise your every movement.
  • Thinking you need to be perfect to not be judged.

Ask yourself: Which of these have you found yourself doing? How can we manage these types of thoughts?

Thank you. That was a very helpful post. I think i have experienced all of the points mentioned regarding anxiety. It's sad but i know i'm not alone.
