What we have explored so far helps us understand that the path to happiness i.e. more experiences and moments that bring happiness comes with focuses on enhancing well-being and striving to flourish. According to the positive psychology lens, to find satisfaction and fulfillment, we need to start with ourselves and recognize our strengths. Using these strengths to bring about action that impacts others provides a sense of belonging and community that provides a purpose. Therefore, discovering our strengths and working on them enhances PERMA, and hence leads to more happiness. In fact, people who are highly engaged in impacting the well-being of others often report higher rates of life satisfaction. Thus, using our psychological resources can help us flourish.
