# Some days we may feel as though we just can’t keep going and want to give up. When we are feeling down it can be useful to think of other times when you wanted to give up, but carried on going.

 

 

 

# Often in life we get caught up in doing things that we feel we have to do, because other people tell us we should be doing them. It is difficult to listen to your inner voice and do the things you want to do when people are saying otherwise. Hold on to the things you want for your life and don't lose sight of them. One day you will see how far you can go.

# Often thinking about stepping outside our comfort zone can be scary and make us want to run away and hide. Most of us do things every day that we are not comfortable with. Being able to do things that scare us can help us grow in confidence and experience new things with a sense of achievement.

# Self compassion involves showing love, acceptance and understanding to ourselves. Most of us are able to show compassion to others but find it difficult to show compassion to ourselves. 

Learning to be more compassionate with ourselves can lead to a calmer mind and an increased sense of self worth.

# Mindfulness, or simply pausing to focus on the present moment, can pave the way to a more positive and confident you. Just being present and not doing very much at all can be more productive than doing something.

# Too often people focus on their physical attributes and appearances rather than focusing on the things that really matter, such as their personality and how they treat others. Taking the focus away from outward appearance and more onto internal characteristics can help to form a more positive self image.

# Spreading kindness or supporting other people is one way we can boost our own wellbeing. It can be as simple as smiling at someone or holding open a door. It is the smallest things that can mean the most to people.
