Reaching Out
Depression can affect the way we think about ourselves, the world and others even behaviour-wise. Reaching out is not a sign of weakness and it won’t mean you’re a burden to others. It can be challenging to reach out, but we sometimes can’t manage our depression alone.
Activity: Take a moment to think about someone you can reach out to. Think about what you might tell this person and how you would like them to support you. You can even grab a pen and paper and write down what you want to tell them prior to doing so if it is easier.
Deep breath in. Deep breath out.
When you are ready, reach out to this person. Know you are not alone.
