Practicing Mindful Communication
Speaking and listening to others whilst being mindful helps in deeply connecting with others. Consider practicing mindful communication - to do so, try being more mindful when listening to others by being present yet patient, avoiding reactions and assumptions, and controlling urges to make suggestions or offer advice/solutions. Instead, put yourself in the other person's shoes and consider what the experience was like for them. Try relating to their feelings. Moreover, attempt to be a mindful responder/speaker by thinking before you speak and avoiding automatic responses. Be honest, concise, and straight-forward while communicating. Observe how being more mindful makes you feel and how the quality of your interactions is impacted.
