Move Forward with the Positive Focus

#1

Get ‘unstuck’ and step back into the stream of life. Start the journey of moving forward. Start making positive focus a daily priority. Let go of self-limiting beliefs. Make life simpler again.

#2

Take a step back!

The first step in moving forward is taking one step back. Often we try to push harder to move forward and still reach nowhere and we try harder. So, whenever you are in similar situations, instead of pushing harder, let’s take a step back.

Suppose, you have a ball of wool in your hand and it is tangled and you need to untangle it. You could rush and try to untangle it as soon as you want to. And, it would lead you to make the ball more complicated to untangle and feel anxious, tired, overwhelmed and not so confident that you would be able to untangle it.

But, try this different view! Instead of rushing, you could stop, take a deep breath and instead of seeing it as a tangled wool that you need to untangle, view it as your favorite coffee spot where you go, relax and unwind with a cup of coffee. You take your time while you find the wool thread ends and steadily create a new ball out of a tangled one.

Another way to zoom out is to look at your situation as a third person. Imagine what would you advise the player of that soccer match where he is about to take a penalty shot and you are watching it on tv.

#3

Adjust your approach, not the goals.

Moving forward can be intimidating and scary. However, whenever there is a kind of change, you need to adjust the way you are moving forward. Life is full of happenings. There are internal and external factors that come in your way and put you in break mode from moving forward. But it shouldn’t make you give up.

When there is a storm, sailors never leave their ships, they change their approach to sailing. Similarly, at times you need time to adjust and familiarize yourself with new, and move past what is no longer part of the process.

When you took exams, you might have observed that your writing speed adjusted as time changed. At the end of the exam, it was different from what it was at the start or in the middle of the exam.

The same applies to moving forward in life, from a challenge, after a break up or anything else.

#4

Life is like riding a bicycle, to keep your balance, you must keep moving.

#5

When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.

#6

There are things that we never want to let go of, people we never want to leave behind. But keep in mind that letting go isn’t the end of the world, it’s the beginning of a new life.

#7

Embrace patience.

Whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Trust the process you are going through and the way it unfolds will lead to something beautiful. There is usually a good reason, even if you can’t see or imagine it right now.
