We are the only ones focused on the idea of ourselves:

We are the only ones focused on the idea of ourselves (how we look, how we feel etc). The reality is most people don't even think second of insecurity that you may have. No one sits around having a discussion of how if you changed just one thing, how great you would become. We as humans are too focused on ourselves. People are not judging you as much as you perceive they are. 

The next time you start to worry about being judged, remember that it is very unlikely people will think negatively of something you are anxious about. Then counter the negative thought by pointing out something positive about yourself.

 

Example:

Negative thought --> I don't like how my hair look. I wonder if people notice how bad they look.

Countering the thought --> I am not happy with how my hair look right now but it is very unlikely that anyone will notice. On the other hand, I am totally rocking this lip color!
