How Writing Can Take it Further
Sometimes it is also nice to add a bit of writing to the drawing/doodling process. And sometimes a drawing creates the writing which creates another drawing, and so on.
Here are some writing prompts to consider:
How did the process feel?
How did you feel at the beginning and at the end?
Did you notice any changes in your body? Are your tense places lighter or heavier?
Did your breathing change at all during the process?
Did you connect with the exercises or yourself?
If you feel more grounded than before, where in your body do you feel it?
Were you drawn to a certain color palette? Why do you think so?
What do the different colors mean to you?
Where do you feel these colors in your body?
How can you incorporate these colors and shapes into your sensory memory and use them to help self-soothe and relieve anxiety?
