How to Face The Fatigue
Fatigue is no fun. Feeling exhausted all the time can be overwhelming and uncomfortable. However, some tips can help you face the fatigue that conditions like MDS can bring about:
- Remember to consult your doctor. Fatigue during the MDS can be caused by many factors, and exploring if any medical support can be offered to help is necessary.
- Plan your activities daily. Daily planning of things to do not only helps start your days with things to look forward to, but can also help you plan things that feel manageable at that moment. This helps face the unreliable fatigue that may come up.
- Remember to try to maintain your activity with periods of rest. After talking with your doctor, maintain a level of activity that feels right. Are things that you could manage making you really tired now? Take note of changes and work with your doctor to address new fatigue levels. It is also important to rest up. Follow a regular sleep schedule and consider taking breaks during your day as well.
- Keep your emotional health in check too. Feeling anxious or depressed? Our emotional wellness can also impact our fatigue levels. Remember to check-in with yourself mentally as well and bring up concerns with your medical support team as well as support circle.
