Ensuring self-care whilst being an educator can help minimize the risk of burnout and other challenging impacts on your well-being. Some ideas include:

  • Have a healthy after-work and home schedule which has room for rest, exercise, and other activities. 
  • Practice your favorite self-care activities regularly: you can meditate, read a book, connect with family and friends, or journal amongst some common activities.
  • Take a break and ask for help when you need it. 

Reflect on some of the self-care activities you would like to do. How often do you currently devote to self-care, and how can you incorporate more me-time into your life?
