Counting Blessings: Sense of Gratitude

We don't need to set aside special time to practice gratitude (although you can if you want to), we can bring gratitude into our everyday activities.

Example, while you are cooking you might think about the fact you have enough food, and feel grateful for that, or while out walking the dog it might cross your mind that there is natural beauty close to home.

Here is a list of simple things to be grateful for:

  • A house to sleep in

  • Food to eat

  • Family/friends

  • The internet

  • Drinkable water

And so on..

This takes practice, so to get you started make a list of three everyday activities and mention something you might be appreciative or grateful for each activity.

You may have heard of gratitude journaling, or writing 3 things you are grateful for each day. While some people find this helps them to focus on the positive things in their life, another option is to practice gratitude mindfulness; try this short video to get started.

Now, it’s time to focus on trusting and let’s keep going! Are we ready? ❤
