The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Yakima, WA, is dedicated to nurturing advocates and educators who are committed to creating a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. We provide a transformative six-month experiential learning program that empowers selected Fellows to immerse themselves in organic food system education. By partnering with regional non-profits, our Fellows gain practical experience growing and distributing diverse crops, leading educational initiatives, managing community gardens, and advocating for food and ecological literacy. We believe in accessibility, which is why there is no tuition for our program. Through mentorship and collaboration, our Fellowship equips individuals to drive change in community food systems and support efforts like farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs. Applications are open until March each year, with program activities running from May to October, allowing passionate individuals to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
