By offering a tuition-free program, we empower selected Fellows with comprehensive organic food system education and hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA. Our Fellowship equips individuals to grow and distribute diverse crops, facilitate health-focused educational initiatives, maintain community gardens, and enhance food literacy within schools. Beyond the six-month experiential training, Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profit organizations to expand access to healthy foods, support farmers markets, and contribute to community food coalitions. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May through October, ensuring our commitment to accessibility and impactful learning.
