The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, located in Richland, WA, is dedicated to nurturing leaders who advocate for a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Our program empowers Fellows through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, ensuring that tuition-free access fosters inclusivity and growth. Over six months, selected Fellows engage in experiential learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they delve into organic food system education, diversify crop growing, implement health-focused educational sessions, and maintain community gardens. Additionally, they develop food and ecological literacy in school initiatives, support farmers markets, and enhance access to healthy foods through strategic partnerships with local non-profit organizations. Following this immersive experience, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year to apply their knowledge and skills in the region, becoming mentors and advocates for sustainable food practices. Applications are open until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
